Abdi Nazemian is the author of Only This Beautiful Moment—winner of the Stonewall Award and Lambda Literary Award—and Like a Love Story, one of Time’s 100 Best YA Books of All Time. He is also the author of Exquisite Things, Desert Echoes, The Chandler Legacies, and The Authentics. His novel The Walk-In Closet won the Lambda Literary Award for LGBT Debut Fiction. His screenwriting credits include the films The Artist’s Wife, The Quiet, and numerous television series. He has been a producer, executive producer or associate producer on numerous films, including Call Me by Your Name and Little Woods. He lives in Los Angeles with his husband, their two children, and their dog, Disco.
Arian Saleh is a Composer and Recording Artist, whose discography and compositions play in the intersections of global sound. Saleh’s film scores have played many festivals, including Sundance, Tribeca, and SXSW. Notably, Saleh scored the 2026 Sundance Special Jury Award winner “The Friend’s House is Here”, and the Emmy Award-winning documentary "Blackfeet Boxing: Not Invisible”.
Beyond traditional filmmaking, Saleh has collaborated with the Malala Fund to score the VR film “Girl Icon”, named one of Forbes’ top 50 VR experiences of the year, as well as composed music for many theatrical productions, most recently “Am I Roxie?” at the Geffen Playhouse.

ONLY THIS BEAUTIFUL MOMENT is a stage musical about three generations of men in the same Iranian family —Moud (2019), Saeed (1978), and Bobby (1939)—as they navigate adolescence, forbidden love and family secrets. Abdi Nazemian is writing the book (based on his novel). Arian Saleh is writing music and lyrics.
