On September 18th, Waterwell had the honor and privilege of performing an original short piece at the UN General Assembly as a part of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Moment.
Our performance, titled The Future Speaks to Now, was created by Lee Sunday Evans and Rajiv Joseph and featured Izzy Elena Rita, Marsha Stephanie Blake (Fleet Week Follies, The Accidental Wolf), Michael Braun (The Courtroom), Keren Lugo, and Arian Moayed.
This 5 minute theatrical piece uses story, dialogue and spoken word to convey the urgent need to realize the great potential of the Sustainable Development Goals through a conversation between two different worlds.
The performance made vivid the transformational impact that the SDGs can have on individual lives, communities, nations and the world by contrasting the challenges of our present reality to the hopes of our sustainable future.
