In September, Waterwell joined Extreme Weather Survivors to kick off the nationwide tour of Stolen Summers, a traveling art installation and storytelling project honoring the people, places, and ways of life stolen from us by extreme weather events. Stolen Summers matched 30 survivors with 30 artists to create 30 movie-sized posters depicting survivors’ lived experiences. Each piece represents one million Americans whose lives have been upended by fires, floods, hurricanes, and heatwaves. Actors Katie Finneran, Celia Keenan-Bolger, and Seth Numrich brought the words of these survivors to life.
