Communications Associate

Anna Item is a Brooklyn-based director, intimacy director, graphic designer, and arts administrator from Massachusetts.

Her work is concerned with intersectional feminism, joyful empowerment, subversive horror, and lesbian representation. She has worked with the Scranton Shakespeare Festival, Cape Playhouse, Powerhouse Theatre at Vassar College, Soho Playhouse, Cotuit Center for the Arts, the Tank, the Chain, Theatre for the New City, NY Fringe, and 92NY. Anna is a summa cum laude graduate of Muhlenberg College, where she was Publicity Manager of the Muhlenberg Theatre Association, Senior Editor of the Academic Review, and a Marketing Intern for the Department of Theatre & Dance. In addition to her work with Waterwell, Anna is also the Marketing Assistant at the Bushwick Starr.
