“My tongue will tell the anger of my heart, or else my heart concealing it will break.”

― William Shakespeare, The Taming of the Shrew

In Padua – a city of culture, art, and status – three suitors vie for Bianca’s hand in marriage. But until her older sister Katherine, the famed shrew, is married all these suitors must be denied. Enter Petruchio, an ambitious and rowdy suitor who swears to tame and marry Kate. In this timeless classic, Shakespeare weaves a controversial world of false identities, arranged marriages, and broken spirits. In this gender-bending rehearsal project, a mostly female cast tackles this play-within-a-play, that has had audiences in debate for over 400 years!
