DESCRIPTION

Machinal, by American playwright and journalist Sophie Treadwell, is a play inspired by the real-life case of convicted and executed murderer Ruth Snyder. First performed in 1928, “Machinal” is considered one of the high points of expressionist theatre in America. Directed by Irene Lazaridis and presented in the auditorium in November.
