DESCRIPTION
A brilliant inventor falls in love with a lamp-tester then loses her when their company collapses in a financial crisis. Two revolutionaries sort through personal and political tensions at the dawn of democracy. Set in present-day Pittsburgh and 18th century Paris, the stories collide in an uproarious skewering of industry and statecraft. Underpinned by a cache of vibrant country and folk music, Sweetness & Light illuminates America’s love affair with business, technology and itself.
