Alexis Confer is a nationally recognized nonprofit and political strategist, known for driving large-scale impact at the intersection of advocacy, leadership, and culture. She is the founder of Confer Strategies, where she advises organizations on strategy, executive development, and organizational transformation. Her clients have included the Brady Campaign, Rock the Vote, the City of New York, StartCare, Climate Action Campaign, Extreme Weather Survivors, Voto Latino, and more. As the inaugural Executive Director of March For Our Lives, Alexis helped transform a youth-led movement into a national force for gun violence prevention. In City Hall, she was instrumental in launching universal Pre-K and ThriveNYC. She’s also held senior roles at Everytown for Gun Safety and the Obama 2012 campaign. A passionate arts advocate, Alexis founded the Mechanicals Theater Company and serves on the boards of Change the Ref, Waterwell, and Women Leading Ed. She holds a MPA from New York University and BA from George Washington University.
