Waterwell Awarded Summer Residency at Exchange's Orchard Project

Waterwell is proud to announce its acceptance to the summer residency of The Exchange's Orchard Project 2010. Their relationship with this organization has led to the creation of Waterwell's #9, which premiered last summer at 59E59. This summer Waterwell will be bringing their newest creation, Goodbar, a colloboration with the punk glam rock band, Bambi. They will also be working on other upcoming projects that aren't announced yet. More to come...
From their release: "Fourteen companies, teams and individual artists have been selected from more than 500 applicants to develop new work at the Exchange's Orchard Project, which will run from May 31 to July 2, 2010 in New York's Catskill Mountain Preserve.
The companies include international groups (Belarus Free Theatre of Minsk and Paines Plough of London), American stalwarts (A.R.T., Atlantic Theater Company, the Talking Band, and Naked Angels), and rising-star companies (Waterwell, Glass Contraption and one more TBA). The Orchard Projects individual artist program also expands in 2010, with residencies for playwrights Robert Schenkkan (Seattle, WA), Amy Herzog (NY), Linda McLean (Scotland), Rich Orloff (NY), Halley Feiffer (NY) and the composing team Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk. A full list of artists and their biographies is online at www.exchangenyc.org."
Waterwell is thrilled to be back at the Orchard Project and to be able to work with such great theater artists.
