The Persians...a comedy about war with five songs
Freely adapted from the oldest surviving play in the Western canon, Waterwell’s The Persians boldly places Aeschylus classic text in an early 1960s nightclub. Four magnetic performers run the gamut of American entertainment to portraya proud country on the cusp of oblivion.
The|King|Operetta
Taking inspiration from the legendary speeches, interviews, and private notes of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the obscured history of his last days shines with new meaning in this powerful performance. The|King|Operetta triumphs by adding new texture to the untold King story with soulful songs, pithy readings and stunning portrayals that will rouse and inspire.
