Waterwell to perform in King Day celebration at Symphony Space

Waterwell will perform songs and excerpts from its 2007 hit The/King/Operetta at Symphony Space on January 21, 2008 as part of JCC in Manhattan's popular annual Martin Luther King celebration. Waterwell is honored to be taking part and especially proud because it is a free event. From JCC's website:

"Don't miss the JCC's annual standing room only celebration honoring the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The uplifting evening featuring excerpts from the Waterwell's new rock-operetta about the last year in King's life, the Mayhem Poets with their exuberant spoken-word artistry, and the highly-awarded David Dorfman Dance Company presenting from their new work about abolitionist John Brown. Join us as we celebrate King's vision for justice, peace and civil rights with artists, performances and speakers. Held at the Peter Norton Symphony Space, 2537 Broadway at 95th street. No advance registration; seating is limited. Doors open at 6 pm."
